Our Program
Toddler Class
In the toddler class our focus is to introduce a basic understanding of the alphabet, numbers 1-10, and colors. We highly believe children at this age, and each stage in preschool, are active learners through play. Because of this, we provide a variety of hands-on centers and activities for an engaging learning experience. Your child will also learn through visual, auditory, and kinesthetic activities. Daily bible lessons will be taught along with a correlating hands-on activity or craft. Our mission at Son Shine school is to be a Christian light to our students and their families.
Preschool Class
In the preschool class your child will learn the basic building blocks for the remainder of their early education. Through structured lesson plans and hands-on learning, your child will learn to recognize and name the letters of the alphabet, numbers 1-20, and their shapes and colors. A huge focus in our preschool class is teaching our students to recognize, write, and spell their names. Using a varienty of engaging and transitional activities, your child will leave with a firm foundation that will carry them to Pre-Kindergarten. Daily Bible lessons will be taught along with a correlating hands-on activity or craft.
Pre-Kindergarten Class
Our Pre-Kindergarten class offers diverse lesson plans that cater to the needs of the individual student. Our teachers are firm believers in hands-on learning and providing authentic experiences in the classroom. In the Pre-K class, your child will engage in lessons through self- study, kinesthetic movement, and visual and auditory learning. In this stage of early learning, your child should leave with a strong understanding of alphabet sounds, a number of phonics sounds, and a strong foundation for reading and writing.
